Hi Darlene, since everyone's oven is a little different you may well need to adjust your baking temperature a bit. I would try 400F and see if that works better for you. You may also find it helpful to purchase an oven thermometer to see if your oven is running a little hot. Be sure to preheat for a full 30 minutes and then check the thermometer temperature. You can always adjust the oven setting accordingly, so this is a relatively easy fix. I once had an oven that consistently ran 50 degrees too hot, but once I figured this out with an inexpensive oven thermometer, I just dialed the setting back by 50 degrees and it worked great!
