I have baked all my life and it was a shared treasure between my daughter and me…she learned to bake standing on a chair at the counter with her own bowls and tools and ingredients. We would try to outdo the other as she got older…once she had moved out on her own, we shared our bakes over Skype. She made many of my best recipes better. Sadly, I lost my daughter to cancer in 2016… and I honestly was lost…I went back to gardening…another shared joy. My best friends still knew something was lacking in my life….so they got together and sent me a box from King Arthur…a very BIG box…and told me to come out of the dark and bake…the sourdough starter intrigued me…as I always wanted to make sourdough bread….thanks to you PJ, I spent hours scouring King Arthur blogs and recipes as well as blogs on the internet…. I am a commercial yeast adder to my sourdough…and I am the hit of any party when I walk into the door with loaves of bread…or Bundt cakes…or both. Thank you PJ and King Arthur…I can honestly say I was rescued by flour…
