Absolutely YES!
I found King Arthur Baking Co. about the time they launched their web site in 1996. I was always looking for great baking ideas for my family. I was in the first quarter of graduate school at night in December 1996. I tried to have a favorite baked good waiting at home for the kiddos and hubby to have with their evening meal or after school snack. I also worked full time during the day so the baked good was made late at night for the next day. Sometimes, I’d include a breakfast treat for everyone as they left the house for work or school in the morning. Baking was the one thing of comfort I could give my family when I couldn’t be there. When I graduated in May 1999 with my graduate degree, I was more available for the mommy comforts so the baking tradition came to a close. It wasn’t long before the family started asking for their favorite homemade treat. Sourdough pancakes or rolls, brownies, cookies, cakes, yeast rolls and bread.
Kiddos are all grown up with families of their own and with their leaving my house to their own, some of King Arthur went with them in the form of favorite recipes, a bottle of KAB vanilla or cinnamon.
Thanks KAB for being there for my family when I could not.
