I have often heard about hot water crust on The Great British Baking Show and never really understood what it was. This article explains it well. Many years ago we were at Chatsworth in England and I had a piece of chicken and apricot pie that I have never forgotten. I’m certain this is the crust that was used as the slice stood up on its own. I’m now on the hunt for a recipe for the filling!
