You'll want to discard and then feed it Wanda. This allows the same amount of starter to be fed equal portions of food and water and each time. At the volume/weight that we recommend I find that a large wide mouth mason jar is a great option. You'll want something that is easy to reach inside with a spatula and can hold about a quart of liquid. Happy Baking!
