Getting my starter and playing with it really helped me feel like baking was fun and easy. At first I left it out and fed it twice a day, as you say, and made many things from discard. You have so many wonderful recipes on you website, and my daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed trying various breads, rolls, pizza dough, and even cake and cinnamon buns! Our favorite is still the easy version of the sourdough bread that comes in the booklet that arrived with our Herman--- the name we have given our starter! He now lives in our fridge and get fed every week or two, when we have time to bake. Thanks for giving us a new hobby and providing our family and friends with many good things to eat!
