You are certainly allowed to say what you want, but as a baker, I would never tell someone that pancakes or Welsh cakes, etc. are baked. That term implies certain processes that do not apply here any more than they apply to dumplings. To me, "baking" refers to a somewhat broad cooking technique, not the fact that the recipes contain flour. Perhaps a little less snark and more constructive discussion would be appropriate next time.
