You can bake with raw nuts or you can up your game with toasted nuts. Why would I want to garnish my homemade carrot cake with cream cheese icing with RAW nuts? They have to be toasted. A word of advice when you are toasting them...set your timer! NOTHING smells worse than charred pecans.
