Hi Bakerbet, at King Arthur we believe that the best part of baking is the community it fosters. It pleases us to no end that our ingredients and recipes bring people closer every day. But the fact is that people in our communities and country continue to be unjustly burdened because of qualities like their race, color, gender, and sexual orientation. We believe that everyone deserves equal access to the joy of baking. Recognizing that requires that we don’t avoid naming racism or injustice for the sake of avoiding challenging moments of reflection. Our hope is that everyone comes to recognize that when we collectively tend to our most marginalized communities, we shift toward a future which more richly benefits us all.
