Hi Paul, as long as you're not seeing any signs of mold or pink/orange coloring, by all means give it a few days of twice daily feedings at room temperature! If you see no activity after the first 12 hours, you can wait until 24 hours for your second feeding, but be sure to give the starter a good stir at the 12-hour point. I'm guessing Uncle Bill's starter still has some life in it!
