it depends on how cold. it didnt like san diego area 17 mls inland in the winter but it will survive if you move it into the garage or indoors when temp drops below 45_50 deg F and bring it outside when the sun comes out. Bring it back indoor when gets cold again. A friend of mine lives in north dallas tx, she grows hers indoor not out doors near a sunny window. hope that helps
