Is it necessary to pre-sift flour before measuring? Also, the tips you provide here are great. I've been making "scratch" biscuits for years. TIP: I have a jug in my frig containing milk, cream, half&half. When a carton of dairy is almost empty, I pour it into the jug. Results: SOUR milk. Just keep adding to the jug and use it when needing buttermilk.
