Vegan butters are not all created equal. While the Earthbalance brand is less expensive, I’ve found the flavor off putting in some baked products and the amount of greasiness unacceptable in others. I have experimented extensively trying to produce the recipes my family knows and loves with healthier ingredients. Kroger stores carry a butter (salted and unsalted) known as: Flora Butter. I have gotten my best results using this in many recipes. It first was used mostly commercially in the restaurant sector and now is available to regular consumers.
