I love homemade tortillas! I don't have a tortilla press. I have a clear glass pie plate with handles - Anchor Hocking, I think. I cut the sides for a ziplock bag, and put the masa ball in between. I can see how big the tortilla is getting since everything I use is clear. I rarely have an issue peeling the tortilla off the ziplock bag, but I always have the tortilla side in my hand, and I peel the plastic off slowly.
