Hi Margie, table salt is mined from salt deposits and has other mineral content removed. It can also include anti-caking ingredients. Iodized table salt has added iodine. Sea salt is generally produced from evaporated sea water and some consider this a more natural type of salt, because it is less refined and maintains more mineral content. However, both types of salt have about the same sodium content, so the added mineral content in sea salt may not be particularly healthier in terms of human consumption. That being said, our Baker's Bread Salt is a fine grain salt that retains the minerals, which can be beneficial to the yeast.
