I have prebaked pie crust used nestled Pyrex pies plates and have done so for years with no problem. I found the upside down method intriguing and I plan on trying that method today. However I do not own any metal pie plates so I will be useing my Pyrex. My husband doesn’t think cooking in metal pie pans is a good idea . Same with cake pans so I appease him and bake only in glass.
