Hi Merri! Those flavors sound delicious. You could try filling the core with a 50/50 mix of lemon and pastry cream (a spoon of curd topped with a spoon of pastry cream for example), leaving the top intact as a base for your frosting. Likewise, if you have pointed pasty bag tip, you could also inject the cake with one of your fillings around the core that you fill with the other. Either way, sounds like a wonderful treat will be had by all!
