This is a great move by your company! I am an organic farmer and an agronomist. Sustainable farming systems are an important part of the solution to climate change. Grains can be great soil builders and are a key part of sustainable farming systems. Unfortunately, the devil is always in the details. Grains alone can not be a sustainable farming system. The key to sustainability is in diversity. We need to integrate grains into highly diverse cropping systems that include enough different types of plants to create biologically balanced crop sequences. We have observed that grains grown in vibrant well managed soils also taste and bake better. Reversing climate change can be a win win solution!
