Hi Gail! The filling in a cinnamon roll can weep out from the base for a number of reasons. If the dough is rising for a bit too long or if the filling is a bit too moist (or there is too much filling spread over the dough) that can happen. We have found that taking a small, 2 inch portion of the dough (after rolling the log up and slicing it) and tucking it under the roll before placing it in your pan can help prevent that from happening.
