I came here to learn a little about the food of a culture that’s new to me - what I was surprised and distressed to find was more of the old familiar “progressive” hand wringing and fist pumping. Everything is political for some people. I’m a recent refugee, having exchanged the “progressive” northeast US for a less angry rural southwest - thankfully, most people I’ve come in contact with here - regardless of skin color and/or heritage - are laid back and friendly, more just people and not ideological warriors.
