I was so excited to see this blog and enjoyed it very much. I really don’t understand why people are offended by it. Mariela is sharing her own personal story and experiences, along with her passion for baking using healthier and responsibly-sourced ingredients. Acknowledging the very real struggles of immigrants and people of color should not be offensive. And she is absolutely right that the bread in Mexico tastes better! Thank you KA for amplifying diverse voices and recipes and thank you Mariela for sharing your story. I am excited to try the concha recipe and I really hope to see more Mexican and Latino recipes on the KA site!
