"unanticipated time constraints"
This one I can relate with the Caribbean rhum cake I baked at 10 am, one Sunday morning, for a Sunday lunch with friends ! It really really needs the overnight rest with the syrup. But my god, this one is not for abstinent people. We nickname it the "gateau de pochetrons" a very colloquial French (I'm French) version of cake for drunkyards :-)
