Hello all from Canada! Since it was so recent, I thought I'd add my baking boo-boos to the list - with the same recipe no less on two different days.

With the initial bake two or three weeks ago all seemed fine with the new recipe I was trying (honey sultana banana muffins) until I peeked in the oven close to the end of baking time - the tops looked too smooth. Mistake #1 - I'd forgotten to add a leavener (recipe called for self-raising flour, which I don't use), but, surprisingly, they turned out be fairly tasty hockey pucks.

My next muffin-baking session was a few days ago and this time, because of the big red star as a reminder, leavening made it into the mix and into the oven they went. When I opened my microwave door to melt some butter for a different recipe, I was surprised to see a bowl already sitting there. Ah, OK, this time I forgot to add the bananas!

Annoyed that I'd now goofed twice, my third attempt made its way into the oven in short order. So, they were finally a success, but as I'm typing this, it occurred to me that I don't recall seeing or tasting any raisins in the one I ate this morning. Well, at least it was good, tasted like banana, and can't be used as a door stop.

Cheers, stay safe, and keep on baking!
