Although I grew up in Wisconsin (as did my parents) I had never heard of lefse. I married into a family that was LEFSE CRAZY. But only the Norwegian grandpa made it. The Thanksgiving after Grandpa died there was total panic. I was given Grandpas lefse stick and told "It's up to you." After some stumbling trials I really became an expert, but this time I taught my kids and grandkids. Before that I had to make enough for my husbands entire family...100pieces.
