I just made these and think the recipe needs a couple tweaks. First, no where did I see in the instructions when to add the vanilla extract. I added it to the creamed butter and sugar before adding the flour, but you should state that clearly. Also, please add how long to wait after you bake the cookies the first time before you recut them. I did it right away and the dough was so soft and sticky that it stuck to my knife so the cuts were not clean and the cookies became misshaped. I think it’d be better to wait a few minutes, but if not, I need another tip to keep the cuts clean so the cookies look nicer.
