I’ve had my sourdough starter since 1974, when it was given to me by a friend who had it given to her by a woman who started it in 1948 in Kermit, Texas! I have taken it with me as my husband was transferred for work - from Texas to Alaska, to London, England , back to Texas, to Shenzhen, China, and eventually to retirement in Kentucky. (This all happened before the days of T.S.A. I don’t know what they’d have to say about a jar of sourdough starter going through passport control and immigration lines these days! ) I use my sourdough almost weekly for bread, pancakes, biscuits, doughnuts, waffles or something! I am certainly looking forward to trying this easy-sounding recipe.
