I bought the pan (how did I survive so long without this fabulous pan) and followed the recipe verbatim even to the unfed starter. I did score the length with a lame. The top came out nearly perfect. The only difference was I added poppy seed to the sesame seed topping. Freaking amazing results. Made the most incredible grilled cheese and bacon sandwiches with the still warm bread. Could not wait for it to totally cool. Will make again and again. Thank you for this unbelievably easy and delicious recipe and the pan recommendation.
