My stepfather’s family is Polish, and they used to make hundreds of pierogi at Christmastime. Same for my best friends - their grandma used to oversee a family pierogi-making party at the holidays. Sadly, now that the older folks have passed, the pierogi are no longer made. I have never tried to make them, but after reading KA’s recipe, PJ’s post, and all the positive comments on the recipe I think I will give it a try and surprise some folks who are missing their homemade family pierogi.
