Made them this morning, and they did come out perfectly pillowy! I used regular yeast and made the dough in the bread machine. The filling is good and I will add some chopped, toasted walnuts when I make these again. I brushed them with a little melted butter when they came out of the oven and then later dusted them with powdered sugar instead of using icing. The tangzhong came together quickly and easily. Delicious!
