As an African-American woman, this story truly warmed my heart, inspired me, and made me feel tickle-pink proud. It cleared away the dark clouds that have obscured the incredible contributions of our people to the culinary industry. At the same time, it shone a necessary spotlight of shame on the ugly stain of racism. A very big-up to Miss Carla and King Arthur!
