Hi Carm, home ovens vary so greatly in their temperature controls. It's always a good idea to modify the bake time as required by your circumstances. Sometimes it's less than the recipe suggests and sometimes it's more. As long as you bake the cake until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, you should be fine.
