PJ - thanks for great article. I have been shipping cookies for a few years to friends, family, and coworkers. We use the ziplock rectangular boxes, packing the cookies tightly, and making sure the layers are even and the boxes are full. We then seal the lids shut with stretch film and pack the boxes with packing peanuts. They seem to arrive in good shape.

The last two years I have been volunteering with Soldiers Angels, shipping homemade cookies and treats to active military. Since those cookies take much longer to arrive, I bake larger cookies, put two back to back, and wrap them with Saran Wrap. I then use the same rectangular box and packing.
