Fabulous project! I learned so much with this and intend to make them again, perhaps for Christmas. I love the pie crust crumb idea. I tried the mixer to make the crumbs and thought it worked great. Also this was a first for trying vodka instead of ice water in the dough. Nice silky dough as advertised. Great idea, great timing.
I do have some nits to pick however: I found one error in a gram weight and one omission in the directions. 1) The 2/3 cup pumpkin equals 152g, just like in the King Arthur pumpkin scones, NOT 303g. No wonder it overfilled the pies. 2) The direction omission was in the pecan pies; please add a line that says to add the melted butter. I added the melted to the other liquids just before combining just like in the original King Arthur Pumpkin Pie recipe.
