Hi there, Claire! Adding a bit of commercial yeast to your dough can help to provide a bit more lift and insurance for a nice rise. You're certainly welcome to do this if you'd like, it's your kitchen, you're the boss! We'd suggest trying it out with 3/4 to 1 teaspoon.
