What could be more American than voting and apple pie? So we baked an apple pie (October 2020 King Arthur Publication) in celebration. Even though we left out the cinnamon due to my allergy to cinnamon, the result was fabulous. Great recipe, great instructions and boiled cider really enhances the apple flavor. My spouse commented that the crust reminded of her mother's pie crusts, a complement.
