Hi there, Meaghan! Try to get your dough into the best rectangle shape that you can before spreading the filling over it and that it's an even thickness all over. If you have an even rectangle of dough to start with, it'll be much easier to roll the dough into a more uniform log. We hope this helps for future baking adventures!
