Hi Lisa, yes, I think you could effectively bake this loaf in a 9" X 5" or 9" X 4" X 4" loaf pan. If you'd like to achieve a crusty loaf that expands fully, bake at the temperature recommended and be sure to add steam to the oven during the initial part of the bake. Baking time will likely be a bit longer, but I would still check at the time recommended in the recipe.
