Hi there, Carolyn! We wouldn't recommend taking the sourdough out of this recipe as it accounts for a portion of the flour and water in the recipe and would drastically change the texture of the dough and the resulting bread. We have hundreds of bread recipes that don't call for sourdough starter though, you can browse through them out here.
