Matt,
Like folks have been saying consider Lodge. Here’ a big secret. Walmart.com is selling a new 5.5 qt enameled dutch oven for $39.99 in indigo blue and red. Surprise the lid has the dots/nubs that Staub and Le Cruset have to do the steam thing that makes your bread rise. I didn’t want to use mt expensive enameled pots preheated at 500 as is suggested because I didnt want the enamel to be destroyed. A wise baker told me to get cheap and it will last for 4-6 years even used daily. So $39.99 enameled is even cheaper than the lodge cast iron double dutch and way cheaper than the $300 Challenger bread pan! I just got mine today and its beautiful. As soon as my starter is robust again I will try it but Im sure its a winner. Ps I sent back a Le Crueset dutch in the same beautiful
Indigo blue because it had defects and it was on sale for $200. Now Im glad I did. You can’t go wring for $39.99!l
