Hi Trish, you may want to try adding the powdered seasoning directly to the dough, rather than sprinkling them on top. I think it would be fine to add up to 4 teaspoons of the seasonings of your choice to the dough, but use your discretion as far as how assertive you want the flavor to be. Baking the crackers closer to the center of your oven may also help prevent toppings from burning.
