We're so glad to hear that this recipe is well-loved in your kitchen, Maryann! It sounds like you just needed a tad more liquid than normal due to the addition of the cheese powder. The powder will absorb a bit of water so we'd recommend adding 2 to 3 teaspoons of additional liquid as needed to achieve the proper consistency dough for this recipe.
