I am entering my version of the Velvet Pound Cake into the King Arthur Competition at the Izard County Fair (Arkansas). I’m using that recipe and adding fresh blueberries to the batter. And, lemon extract. I’ll use a lemon soak and glaze with sliced almonds on top. I’ve already made it once and it was well received by my “focus group”. Hope to win!
