This isn't pound cake. I'm sure it produces a very nice cake but it's NOT pound cake. Pound cake is very simple: equal weights butter, sugar, eggs and flour. Anything else is something else! There's been a tendency to call all sorts of things pound cakes but they are not. Incidentally adding European baking powder won't affect the taste but is vital for the creamed method cake. (The French whisk the eggs and add the other ingredients for their quatre-quarts).
