I made these using half lemon and half orange. What a time-consuming ordeal! The flavor of the finished sugar-crusted peels is amazing, but they're tough, tough, tough....like little strips of rawhide. I think I'll have to pulverize them in a food processor in order to use them in baked goods. What went wrong? Any other suggestions for use?
