Thank you for sponsoring contests at the California State Fair. I have been entering baked goods at the CA state fair for almost 28 years. Every year King Arthur has sponsored special contests within the fair. The fair used to give money with the ribbons. It was a small amount, like $10 for a blue first place etc. Because of budget changes we only get a ribbon. However your company gives up tp $250 in your products to winners of your sponsored contests at the fair. Besides the bragging rights of winning your contests, the prize is wonderful. I won your gluten free contest in 2016 and 2019. I have a friend with celiac disease and I like to bake special things for her. I keep measuring utensils and pans stored in plastic containers just for my gluten free baking. Years ago I read that that is an important step to make sure my gluten free baking is truly gluten free. I am a hobby baker , 84 in a month. You are never too old to learn. I was 50 years older then most of the students in my community college baking class. Also in my seventies I volunteered at the American Pie Festival in Florida. and volunteered at 3 forums and competitions put on by Michael Schneider the editor of Chocolatier magazine in Arizona and Nashville. I owe a lot of my my joy in baking to your company. You are always there for me
