As well as an Amateur Baking Enthusiast, I'm a professional Graphic Designer, and I've worked on lots of National Brand Logos throughout the years. There's always a sense of loss when something new comes out. I've seen boardroom fights over it. I don't think it's unreasonable for a refresh after 230 Years.
The small photo of the "Crit Wall" in earlier posts about the new logo was a familiar site, I'm hoping you can post a little larger version of it. It's nice to see the competing ideas side by side.
I think this is a very good update to the existing logo. I still like the old one as well, and I aim to pick up at least a pie plate with it on my next order, hopefully we'll see merchandise with both the old and new for a while.
While it's a new name and symbol, I think we all rely on the same company for the quality products and service we've come to expect over the years. If people are upset it's likely because they're passionate about the company and they feel invested in it.
I found a very old KAF Catalog in the garage the other day, it was always like Christmas when a new one showed up, back before we could see things online. I never ordered as often as I wanted to, but now, with the Baker's Rewards Plus Program, I'm making up for it, when things are in stock.
P.S. This isn't holding up the Pizza Steels is it? I really need one.
