Until the age of the Pandemic, I loved to bake, but honestly did not have a preference in flour. Thankfully, I made friends with a Pastry Chef from the Omni Homestead Hotel in Hot Springs, VA. I myself live in Salem, VA just south of Roanoke, VA. I was interested in learning to make Sourdough bread. My new friend patiently talked me through the steps to make a good starter, using King Arthur flour. He also continued to work with me through my trials and tribulations of ups and downs, and if I say so myself, I have gotten pretty good at making bread. I love the website, and have a lot of recipes saved through that site. I also have some friends that are gluten free, and enjoy making them bread, although I haven't mastered a gluten free sourdough yet. Not sure how to create a starter. But I always keep KA Gluten free flour in it's own canister in my flour closet!!!! Thank you so much for the great recipes, and the awesome flour and supplies that you'll create for us amatuers!!
