Which type of flour did you start your WWW starter on? I started mine with local stone ground whole wheat from Plimoth Plantation, and it rises much faster when fed with whole wheat flour than when fed with all purpose (I ran out of both WWW and whole wheat and had to feed it all purpose while waiting 2-3 weeks for my KA whole wheat order to arrive, and watched it slow down and then go back to speedy). The yeast I have were selected for whole wheat.
