As a 16 year old myself who absolutely adores baking, I really appreciated this blog post. At this point in a kid's life they are finding out their interests, hobbies, and passions and baking is a great way you can do this. My advice would be to let older kids go for it! I have been independent in the kitchen for years, making creations even adults wouldn't take the time to attempt. I absolutely love trying my hand at advanced yeast breads from croissants to sourdough of all kinds to making pretzels dipped in lye. Don't hold kids back and let them dream and expirament on their own in the kitchen so they develop a skill and joy they have for the rest of their life. Thank you for all you do to encourage bakers, both young and old, to always work hard and try new things.
