I wonder whether instead of calling the excess starter 'the discard' we should call it 'the bonus'? As it just keeps on giving! I started mine on 5.4.20 & it has now been shared with 3 other people. Social Distancing delivery left by the Sourdough fairies. All of us have had great success using your recipes & no failed starter! I have become quite addicted & even given it a name:
Sarah Sourdough! In these current times a little bit of humour goes a long way - like the starter.
